THE FILM

Latin Americans were the largest immigrant group attacked when Hamas assaulted Israeli villages and a music festival on October 7th, 2023, the bloodiest day for Jews since the Holocaust.

7/O: Testigos del Terror (10/7: Witnesses of Terror) is the only docuseries chronicling the Hamas attack and its aftermath through the eyes of the Latinos who experienced it.

Fuente Latina teamed up with the Immigrant Archive Project and interviewed dozens of survivors soon after the massacre to ensure their testimonies are preserved.

This documentary tells their stories for the first time.

Latin American survivors share their personal stories of horror, heroism, and survival amid the attack in which Hamas killed 1,200 people and kidnapped 250 into Gaza.

The film also explores the lives of Hispanics living along the Gaza border, their immigration experience, and the pastoral village communities they helped build.

Their stories unfold across four distinct episodes.

Latino Voices takes place in Kibbutz Ein HaShlosha where Hamas went street by street killing civilians on sight, burning down homes, and taking people hostage. Witnesses explain how they survived that day and what happened to their loved ones.

Nova Festival was meant to be the dance party of the year but turned into a hunting ground for Hamas death squads who killed 364 young people. Survivors describe what it was like when the music stopped and the carnage began, changing their lives forever.

Gaza features stories of the Latin Americans who escaped the mass kidnapping operation as well as the testimonies of hostages who made it out alive from Hamas captivity. It also shines a light on their loved ones who advocated for their freedom.

Still Captive focuses on the Latin American hostages among the 250 people abducted. The youngest, Kfir Bibas, was 9 months old when seized by Hamas, along with his 4-year-old brother and parents. Ester Cunio, a 90-year-old grandmother, describes how she chatted with Hamas terrorists about Argentinian soccer star Lionel Messi to survive.

Tony Hernandez, founder of the Immigrant Archive Project, directed the film. IAP is the nation’s leading oral and visual history project on the modern immigrant experience.

With immersive storytelling and evocative cinematography, the film revisits massacre sites with survivors and utilizes original footage in an authentic portrayal of events.

All recordings will be archived at the US Library of Congress, USC Shoah Foundation, and are submissible to The Hague.
